Old charm and character are evident in this Stanwood Custom Home from the moment you arrive. The stone detail, Juliette balcony, turret with a widow’s peak, and welcoming entryway all need to be taken in before entering the home.

Upon entering the home, you feel like you are transported back to the early 1900s where craftsmanship and attention to detail were readily available. Our amazing finish carpenter took meticulous care when installing the trim, piece by piece.

The owners collected antiques from around the county for many years. They incorporated all these features as well as modern-day pieces such as tile, door handles, trim and light fixtures to have the feel of a home built in the early 1900s. As the builder, we needed to have 100 yr old stain-glass pieces set into window frames that would meet code. Located in the turret on the second floor just below the widow’s peak is a round piece of stained glass and was a challenge to secure in place. Another challenge as the builder we faced was to find a fireplace that would meet current codes and fit with the owner’s 100-year-old mantel. The millwork and flooring are rich with color throughout the home.
